Derek Baker

Derek Baker is a firefighter with the Philadelphia (PA) Fire Department assigned to Rescue Company 1. He is also member of FEMA USAR Pennsylvania Task Force 1 and has a degree in Fire Science Technology. Derek is also assigned to the  Philadelphia Regional Helicopter Search and Rescue Team called Hoist 1 where he is Rescue Specialist. Served eight years in the United States Marine Corp as a Recon Marine.

Mark Becica

Mark Becica is a firefighter/EMT with the Baltimore City (MD) Fire Department currently assigned to Engine Company 51. Becica previously has served as a member of Rescue Company 1 and is currently a member of Maryland USAR Task Force 2. He began his career as a Crash/Fire/Rescue Sergeant with the United States Army.  Mark has been a firefighter in city, county and combination departments and teaches regularly for Kean Universities Fire Safety Training program.

David Cilona

David Cilona is the Chief of Department in Waterford Twp Fire Department (NJ). Dave is the coordinator for the Vehicle Extrication Program at the Camden County Regional Training Center and an adjunct instructor with Kean University for the NJ Division of Fire Safety.  He has competed regionally and nationally in vehicle rescue competitions.

Maximilian DePaul

Maximilian DePaul is a Lieutenant with the Philadelphia Fire Department assigned to the Hazardous Materials Administrative Unit. He has previously served at Engine 10, Ladder 14 and Squad Company 47. DePaul is a Haz Mat Specialist for FEMA USAR Pennsylvania Task Force 1.  He is currently completing a bachelor’s degree in Public Safety Administration from Neumann University.

Daniel DiRenzo

Daniel DiRenzo is a Captain with the Cherry Hill (NJ) Fire Department assigned to Squrt 51. He has previously served as a Lieutenant at Squad Company 13, the Field Command Office and with the Hazardous Materials Unit. DiRenzo is a Captain/Department Training Officer with the Bellmawr (NJ) Fire Department and a Rescue Specialist with New Jersey FEMA USAR Task Force 1. He is the Managing Member of Safety & Survival Training, LLC and holds an associate’s degree in Fire Administration. DiRenzo has been featured in Fire Engineering’s Training Minutes, Tactical Building Blocks Series and has written articles for Pennwell’s Fire Engineering and Fire Apparatus magazines. He has taught at FDIC as a Lead HOT instructor and as a speaker at various fire service conferences and seminars to include Andy Fredericks Training Days in Alexandria, VA.

Bryan Emenecker has been in our fire service for over 30 yrs and is currently with the Camden City (NJ) Fire Department for the past 21 yrs. Emenecker started his career with the Cherry Hill (NJ) Fire Department. Through his career in Camden he has worked as a firefighter at Ladder Company 2 & Rescue Company 1. As a Captain he has been assigned to Squad 7 and currently serving at Ladder Company 2. Emenecker is a certified Level 2 Instructor for the State of New Jersey and also Nationally Pro Board certified through the University of Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute. He is a past squad officer and instructor for the New Jersey USAR Task Force 1. He has been an instructor/speaker at many conferences/seminars throughout the country to include FDIC & Andy Fredericks Training Days.

Jason Houck is a Battalion Chief with the Cherry Hill (NJ) Fire Department currently assigned to Battalion 13.  He is also Chief of the Barrington (NJ) Fire Department. Houck is currently completing a bachelor’s degree in Public Safety Administration from Neumann University.

Mark Jenkins

Mark Jenkins is a firefighter with the Mount Laurel (NJ) Fire Department and is assigned to the Rescue Company. He is a Rescue Specialist with New Jersey FEMA USAR Task Force 1. Jenkins is a NJ state certified Level 1 instructor. He has over 25 years of experience both as a volunteer and career firefighter.

Kathleen Kirvan

Kathleen L. Kirvan is a career Lieutenant with the Mount Laurel Fire Department and has thirty (30) years of experience in the fire service. Ms. Kirvan is also an EMT, Fire Inspector and Fire Instructor. In addition to her fire service experience and education, Ms. Kirvan has a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Glassboro State College (now Rowan University), a Masters degree in Labor Management Relations from Rutgers University and a Juris Doctorate in the Law from Rutgers University. Ms. Kirvan currently practices law in the area of public sector labor law and discrimination. Classes taught by Ms. Kirvan combine her knowledge of firefighting and the law to provide insight into a wide range of topics that every firefighter should know to understand the legal aspects of the service fire fighters provide.

Terry Lorson

Terry Lorson is a firefighter with Philadelphia (PA) Fire Department assigned to Squad 47 in the Grays Ferry section.  He is a member of Philadelphia Fire Department Special Operations and serves as an instructor for the Special Operations training program. Lorson is a Rescue Specialist with FEMA Pennsylvania USAR Task Force 1. Lorson proudly served in United States Army.

Robert “Mack” MacDermott

Robert “Mack” MacDermott is a Lieutenant with the Cherry Hill (NJ) Fire Department currently assigned to Ladder 34 / Rescue 13. He is a Rescue Manager and Instructor with New Jersey FEMA USAR Task Force 1. MacDermott is a NJ state certified Level 2 (Pro Board) instructor and a MFRI Certified Level 3 (Pro Board) instructor. He has previously taught at FDIC as a HOT instructor.

Ken Martin

Ken Martin has more than 40 years in the fire service. He started as a volunteer firefighter in New York State in 1968 where he served in three fire departments and was a New York State Fire Instructor.  Martin worked through the ranks of Company Officer, Department Training Officer and Battalion Chief with the Mount Laurel (NJ) Fire Department.  He is a Level II Fire Instructor in New Jersey & New York. Martin currently teaches at the Burlington County (NJ) Emergency Services Training Center and for McNeil & Company, a major insurer of fire departments and ambulance squads.

Timothy Moore is a firefighter with the Cherry Hill Fire Department assigned to Ladder 3/Rescue 13. Moore is a Rescue Specialist with New Jersey FEMA USAR Task Force 1 and is the Assistant Chief/Training Officer for the Lansdowne Fire Company in Delaware County, PA. Moore holds multiple National Certifications, including Instructor Level II and Fire Officer IV. Prior to working as a firefighter, he served Delaware County, PA as a Paramedic and Medical Operator on the Region 1 SWAT Team. 

James Moyer

James Moyer is a firefighter with the Mount Laurel (NJ) Fire Department and is assigned to the Rescue Company.  He is a member of the Burlington County Technical Rescue Taskforce and works as a Confined Space Rescue Technician for an industrial safety company.  Moyer served in the U.S. Marine Corps and is a veteran of the Global War on Terror & Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Steven Polumbo

Steven Polumbo is a firefighter with the Philadelphia (PA) Fire Department assigned to Engine 45 in North Philadelphia. He started his fire service career as a volunteer firefighter with the Woodlynne Fire Company before going on to serve with the United States Navy, where he served his entire tour-of-duty overseas in Sasebo, Japan and La Maddalena, Italy.  Polumbo worked as a firefighter with the Collingswood Fire Department for ten years before becoming a Philadelphia Firefighter. He is also an instructor at the Camden County (NJ) Regional Emergency Response Training Center. Polumbo has an Associate’s Degree in Fire Administration and Fire Suppression from Camden County College, a Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Science/Public Safety from the University of Maryland University College. And is currently enrolled at Saint Joseph’s University in their Master’s program in Homeland Security.

Chris Santone is a Battalion Chief with the Mount Laurel Fire Department. He is a Rescue Specialist with New Jersey FEMA USAR Task Force 1 and  a member of the Burlington County Technical Rescue Taskforce . Santone has previously taught at several fire academies and at FDIC as a HOT instructor.

Daniel F. Speigel

Daniel F. Speigel is a Deputy Chief with the Wildwood City (NJ) Fire Department. He is a retired member of NJ USAR Task Force 1. Speigel teaches for the Cape May County Fire Academy & Kean Universities Fire Safety Training Program. Speigel has written several articles for Fire Engineering and Firehouse magazines.

 

William Stallfort

William Stallfort is a retired Battalion Chief from the Cherry Hill (NJ) Fire Department previously assigned to the Operations Division. He has been actively involved in the fire service since 1974. He is a retired member of NJ USAR Task Force 1, where he previously served as a rescue squad leader and in the Technical Search component. He has previously taught at FDIC as a HOT instructor.

 

Eugene Stolowski

Eugene Stolowski has been a firefighter for 26 years. 17 of those years with the FDNY in Ladder 27 and the Family Assistance Unit. On January 23, 2005 Stolowski was one of 6 members forced to jump out of the 4th floor of a Bronx Tenement. He is a frequent speaker at the FDNY Fire Academy and across the country. He is the Secretary/Operations Manager for the FDNY Fire Family Transport Foundation. Stolowski is a nationally certified Instructor Level II and Safety Officer.
