Gabriel Angemi is a second-generation firefighter with the Camden City (NJ)
Fire Department, where he is assigned to citywide Rescue Company 1. He is a New Jersey
state certified fire instructor and is a Rescue Specialist with New Jersey Urban Search & Rescue
Task Force 1. Angemi is a contributing writer for Urban Firefighter magazine and for Fire
Engineering’s Blog Network. He has previously taught at FDIC as a HOT instructor for Urban Essentials.
Derek Baker is a firefighter with the Philadelphia (PA) Fire Department assigned
to Ladder Company 13. He has a degree in Fire Science and has served with the
United States Marine Corps.
Mark Becica is a firefighter/EMT with the Baltimore City (MD) Fire Department currently assigned to Engine Company 51. Becica previously has served as a member of Rescue Company 1 and is currently a member of Maryland USAR Task Force 2. He began his career as a Crash/Fire/Rescue Sergeant with the United States Army. Mark has been a firefighter in city, county and combination (career/volunteer) departments and teaches regularly for Kean Universities Fire Safety Training program.
Robert Childs has beena firefighter with Darby Fire Co. # 1 (PA) for over 35 years. He is a retired Lieutenant from the Cherry Hill (NJ) Fire Department serving for 25 years and a former member of NJ-TF1 USAR Team serving as a Rescue Specialist for 13 years. He has instructor with the Camden County (NJ) Regional Emergency Fire Training Center.
David Cilona is the Chief of Department in Waterford Twp Fire Department (NJ). Dave is the
coordinator for the Vehicle Extrication Program at the Camden County Regional Training Center
and an adjunct instructor with Kean University for the NJ Division of Fire Safety.
He has competed regionally and nationally in Vehicle Rescue Competitions.
Keith Davis the Chief of Department with the Collingswood (NJ) Fire Department where he oversees fire department administration and operations. He is a Deputy Fire Coordinator for the County of Camden (NJ). Davis has a fire science administrative certificate from Camden County College and is a New Jersey state level II fire instructor. He is also an instructor with the Camden County (NJ) Regional Emergency Fire Training Center.
Paul DeBartolomeo has been a member of the fire service for over 20 years in both the career & volunteer ranks. He is a firefighter with the FDNY currently assigned to Ladder Company 28 in Harlem. Paul is a nationally certified Pro-Board instructor delivering training nationwide and serves as an adjunct instructor for the Connecticut Fire Academy. Paul is a lead instructor for the F.D.I.C. H.O.T. programs and has been featured in Fire Engineering’s Training Minutes. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Connecticut and is currently pursuing a degree in Emergency Management from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
Maximilian DePaul is a firefighter with the Philadelphia (PA) Fire Department currently assigned to Squad Company 47, located in the city's Grays Ferry section. Prior to his assignment to Squad Company 47, he worked at Ladder Company 14 located in the Strawberry Mansion section of the city and Engine 10 in South Philly. Max served in the United States Air Force stationed in Japan, Europe, Texas and California.
Daniel DiRenzo is Lieutenant with the Cherry Hill (NJ) Fire Department currently assigned to Squad Company 13. He is also a Lieutenant/Department Training Officer with the Bellmawr (NJ) Fire Department and a Rescue Specialist with New Jersey USAR Task Force 1. DiRenzo is the managing member of Safety & Survival Training, LLC. He has been featured in Fire
Engineering’s Training Minutes and Tactical Building Blocks Series. He has written for Fire
Engineering magazine and has taught at FDIC for several years as a speaker and Lead HOT Instructor.
Bryan Emenecker has been in the fire service for over 25 yrs and is a Captain with the City of Camden (NJ) Fire Department. Through his career in Camden he has worked at Ladder Company 2 , Rescue Company 1 ( 11yrs), Ladder Company 3 and is currently assigned to Squad Company 7. Emenecker is a certified Level 2 Instructor for the State of New Jersey and also Nationally Pro Board certified through the University of Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute. He is also a squad officer and instructor for the New Jersey USAR Task Force 1. Emenecker is a frequent speaker with FireOpsOnline.com on fireground operations.
Ed Frontado Jr. has been involved in the fire service for 20 years serving
as a volunteer as well as a career firefighter. Ed is currently assigned to
Rescue Co.1 in the City of Camden. He has been assigned to engine, truck, as well as the squad co. in the busiest parts of the city. Ed is an instructor at the Camden County (NJ) Regional Emergency Fire Training Center. He is also a Rescue Specialist with New Jersey Task Force One Urban Search and Rescue Team. He has previously taught at FDIC as a HOT instructor.
Robert Gardner is a Deputy Chief with Waterford Twp Fire Department (NJ) He has over 15 years
experience in both fire/rescue and EMS. Gardner currently works as a flight paramedic assigned to SouthSTAR
NJSP Helicopter. He is a Medical Specialist with New Jersey USAR Task Force 1. He is also instructs at the
Camden County (NJ) Regional Emergency Fire Training Center for both vehicle extrication and
hazardous materials training.
Rick Harris is a Battalion Chief with the Cherry Hill (NJ) Fire Department. He is also a Deputy
Chief with the Colonial Manor Fire Association in West Deptford Township (NJ). Harris
is a State of New Jersey licensed teacher of Emergency Response/ Fire Science for high school
seniors at the Gloucester County Institute of Technology. Harris is a state certified Level II Fire
Instructor with the Gloucester and Camden County Fire Academies where as a Lead Instructor
he teaches numerous training programs. He also teaches several adjunct programs for the
National Fire Academy.
Jason Houck is a Captain with the Cherry Hill (NJ) Fire Department currently assigned to Squad Company 13. Jason is a previous Chief of the Barrington (NJ) Fire Department where he is a fourth generation firefighter in Barrington. He holds certifications as a NJ State Fire Instructor II as well as a MFRI Level I instructor and is an instructor at the Camden County Regional Emergency Services Training Center.
Wade Houlihan is a Lieutenant with the Cherry Hill (NJ) Fire Department currently assigned to Ladder Company 4.He is an instructor with the Camden
County (NJ) Regional Emergency Fire Training Center.He is a Nationally
Certified Level III Instructor and has a Master’s Degree in Public Safety
Management from St. Joseph’s University. Houlihan has previously taught at
FDIC as a HOT Instructor.
Robert “Mack” MacDermott is a firefighter with the Cherry Hill (NJ) Fire Department currently assigned to the Squrt 31/Rescue 13. He is also a Rescue Squad Leader and Instructor with NJ USAR Task Force 1.He has previously taught at FDIC as a HOT instructor.
Ken Martin has more than 40 years in the fire service. He started as a volunteer firefighter in New York State in 1968 where he served in three fire departments. He was also a New York State Fire Instructor. Ken served as a Company Officer, Department Training Officer and Battalion Chief in the Mount Laurel, NJ Fire Department. He is a Level II Fire Instructor in New Jersey & New York.
Michael Rauch is a firefighter with the Philadelphia (PA) Fire Department assigned to Ladder Company 5. He also serves as a backup member for the City’s Special Operations Companies. He has also previously served with the United States Marine Corps. Rauch has previously taught at FDIC as a HOT Instructor.
Chris Santone is a Captain with the Mount Laurel (NJ) Fire Department currently assigned to Rescue 36. Santone is a Rescue Specialist with New Jersey USAR Task Force 1. He has been a state certified instructor for over 10 years and is also an instructor at the Camden County (NJ) Regional Emergency Response Training Center. He has previously taught at FDIC as a HOT instructor.
Daniel F. Speigel is a Deputy Chief with the Wildwood City (NJ) Fire Department and
a Rescue Specialist with NJ USAR Task Force 1.He is a NJ State Level II certified instructor
and teaches for the Cape May County Fire Academy and Kean Universities Fire Safety Training
Program. Speigel has written several articles for Fire Engineering and Firehouse magazines.
William Stallfort is a retired Battalion Chief from the Cherry Hill (NJ) Fire Department previously assigned to the Operations Division. He has been actively involved in the fire service since 1974. He is a retired member of NJ USAR Task Force 1, where he previously served as a rescue squad leader and in the Technical Search component. He has previously taught at FDIC as a HOT instructor.
Eugene Stolowski has over 20 years in the fire service. He has spent 12 Years with the FDNY assigned to Ladder 27 in the Bronx. In 2005 Stolowski was one of 6 firefighters forced to jump out of the fourth floor of a Bronx Tenement on what has become known as “Black Sunday”. He is a Nationally Certified Instructor and Safety Officer.
Daniel Stratton is a 25 plus year veteran of the fire service, is a firefighter with the Camden City
(NJ) Fire Department currently assigned to Ladder Company 2. He is a Rescue Specialist with New Jersey USAR Task Force 1. Stratton has an associates degree in Fire Science. His instructional experience includes; course coordinator at the Camden County (NJ) Regional Emergency Training Center, and he has delivered classroom lectures at FDIC as well served as a HOT Instructor.
Ed Verbitski is a firefighter with the Philadelphia (PA) Fire Department assigned to Squad Company 47. He has been a member of the special operations company since its inception in 2004. Verbitski is an instructor for the Philadelphia Fire Academy special operations training program. He is a Rescue Specialist with Pennsylvania USAR Task Force 1. He has also served as an instructor at the Camden County(NJ) Regional Emergency Training Center.
